Service Description

PROBABILITY PIONEERS The maths of rolling, spinning and winning In this hands-on afterschool series, students step into the world of chance, strategy and smart decision-making. Through games, experiments and real-world challenges, we explore how probability shapes everything from coins and dice to big life decisions. Each session builds confidence, curiosity and mathematical thinking — all while having fun! Week 1: Dividing Dough Understanding Fractions Slice, share and solve as we explore fractions through hands-on activities. Discover how fair sharing links directly to probability and decision-making. Week 2: Coin Carnival Discovering Probability Flip it, spin it, test it! Investigate chance through coins and simple games while learning how to predict outcomes and spot patterns. Week 3: Dice Detectives Creating Outcome Tables Roll into the world of dice as we build outcome tables and sample spaces. Explore how different combinations change your chances of winning. Week 4: Winning Plays Introducing Zero-Sum Games Step into strategic thinking with competitive games where one win means one loss. Learn how maths helps us make smarter moves. Week 5: The Prisoners’ Dilemma Discovering Non Zero-Sum Games Explore cooperation, competition and decision-making through classic game theory challenges. When is it better to work together? Week 6: Island Survival Challenge Equilibriums and Decision Making Put your probability and strategy skills to the test in a survival-style simulation. Can you predict, adapt and outsmart the competition?
